Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
No. This tool prioritizes editable text. It does not reproduce every font, column, graphic, margin, or positioned element from the original PDF.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Not directly. If the PDF contains page images instead of selectable text, run OCR PDF first.
Does my PDF get uploaded?
The PDF-to-Word extraction runs in your browser. Your selected PDF is not uploaded to a YourPDFs server.
What happens to images in the PDF?
This version focuses on text extraction and does not attempt to rebuild the original images and page design inside the DOCX.
Why are paragraphs or columns different in Word?
PDFs store text in positioned fragments rather than as Word-style flowing paragraphs. YourPDFs groups extracted text into editable paragraphs, so multi-column pages and unusual spacing can require manual cleanup.
When should I use OCR first?
Use OCR when you cannot select or copy text from the original PDF because the pages are scans or photos. The PDF-to-Word tool itself expects a PDF that already contains selectable text.
