How to use this tool

No. This tool rebuilds the output from flattened page images, so the original selectable or searchable page text is not preserved underneath the redaction rectangles in the downloaded copy.
Are my PDF files uploaded to YourPDFs?
No. The PDF is processed locally in your browser. Your document is not sent to a YourPDFs processing server for redaction.
Will the redacted PDF still have searchable text?
The rebuilt pages are flattened images, so normal selectable and searchable text is removed from the output. This is a security trade-off designed to avoid leaving the original text layer behind.
Can I redact several pages in one file?
Yes. Move through the document page by page and add redaction rectangles wherever needed before creating the final redacted PDF.
Can I undo a redaction before downloading?
You can clear the redactions on the current page and redraw them before applying the final output. Always review the finished downloaded PDF before distributing it.
Can I use this for legal, financial, or medical documents?
