YourPDFs can separate every page into its own PDF, create several PDFs from page ranges, or extract selected pages into one new document. This is useful for sending only the relevant pages of a long report, separating scanned packets, dividing a manual into sections, or creating smaller files from one large PDF. Pages are copied into new PDF documents rather than converted into images, so normal page quality is preserved. Processing takes place locally in your browser and the source PDF is not uploaded to a YourPDFs processing server.
How to use this tool
- Choose an unprotected PDF file.
- Select split all pages, split by ranges, or extract selected pages.
- Enter page numbers when required, then choose Split PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract only a few pages?
Yes. Choose Extract selected pages and enter values such as 1, 3, 5-8. Those pages will be combined into one new PDF.
How do page ranges work?
Each comma-separated range becomes a separate PDF. For example, 1-3, 4-6 creates two PDF files.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The split operation runs in your browser and the PDF file is not sent to a YourPDFs processing server.
Does splitting change page quality?
Pages are copied into new PDF documents rather than converted to screenshots, so normal page quality is preserved.
What happens when I split every page?
Each page becomes its own PDF and the resulting files are packaged into a ZIP download so you do not have to save them one at a time.
Can I make several custom PDF sections at once?
Yes. Choose the page-range option and enter comma-separated ranges such as 1-4, 5-9, 10-12. Each range becomes a separate PDF in the downloaded ZIP file.
